Confirmation is a part of becoming a full member of the Catholic Church. A number of liturgical roles, such as serving as a reader and extraordinary minister of the Eucharist, require Confirmation. The Church also views Confirmation as a profound outpouring of the Holy Spirit, which helps to sustain the faithful in the Christian life, and helps each person to experience the love of God more deeply. The Church sees Confirmation as a necessary step in becoming ready for marriage in the Catholic faith.
Are you an adult Catholic who has not been confirmed? It is not too late! Mary, Queen of Peace offers Adult Confirmation programs each year, typically in January.
