Confirmation is a part of becoming a full member of the Catholic Church. A number of liturgical roles, such as serving as a reader and extraordinary minister of the Eucharist, require Confirmation. The Church also views Confirmation as a profound outpouring of the Holy Spirit, which helps to sustain the faithful in the Christian life, and helps each person to experience the love of God more deeply. The Church sees Confirmation as a necessary step in becoming ready for marriage in the Catholic faith.
Are you an adult Catholic who has not been confirmed? It is not too late! Join our winter Adult Confirmation program. Meetings will be on Sunday afternoons in Room 145 (Fr. McGivney) from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Feb 19 to March 26. Additionally, a half-day retreat will be held on a day that best suits the schedule of the class participants.
