Confirmation is a part of becoming a full member of the Catholic Church. A number of liturgical roles, such as serving as a reader and extraordinary minister of the Eucharist, require Confirmation. The Church also views Confirmation as a profound outpouring of the Holy Spirit, which helps to sustain the faithful in the Christian life, and helps each person to experience the love of God more deeply. The Church sees Confirmation as a necessary step in becoming ready for marriage in the Catholic faith.
Are you an adult Catholic who has not been confirmed? It is not too late! Mary, Queen of Peace offers two Adult Confirmation programs each year, one in the winter, and one in the summer. The winter program consists of six 2-hour sessions, plus a retreat. The summer program consists of four sessions, each of them four hours long, and is designed especially for young adults.
Join us for our winter program:
Meetings will be Sunday afternoons in Room 145 (Fr. McGivney) from 2:30pm to 4:30pm, Feb 24, and March 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31. Additionally, a half-day retreat will be held on a day that best suits the schedule of the class participants.
Please contact Zoltan Abraham at firstname.lastname@example.org or 425.391.1178, ext. 117 for more information about upcoming sessions.
