Info & Admin Community Service Do you have community service hours to complete? Mary, Queen of Peace could utilize your skills in the office, maintaining the facility, or pulling weeds. Please contact the parish office if you would like to complete your service hours here. Fund Raising
MQP is committed to being a Stewardship parish. Being a Stewardship
parish means we use our time and talent primarily on service within and
outside the Church, rather than on fundraising. Fundraising beyond
Stewardship and capital improvements should center on: 1) Needs of
non-profits that are supported by a parish group (Harrington House,
Habitat for Humanity, Teen Mission Trip, Giving Tree etc.) and 2)
community building events (i.e. parish picnic raffle, pancake breakfast,
crab feed). To be in compliance with the law in order to maintain
our non-profit status: for profits businesses can only be on the
premises under strict guidelines set by the Archdiocese of Seattle. To
ensure an effective and comprehensive fundraising program, all
fundraising projects sponsored by a committee, commission and/or other
parish group must be reviewed and approved through the Parish
Administrator.
Lost & Found Lost items are placed in a bin in the north bell tower. Keys, glasses and other valuable items are kept at the receptionist desk. Unclaimed items are donated to the Issaquah Food Bank. MQP Preschool
St. Joseph School in
partnership with MQP is offering classes for 3 and 4 year olds at Mary,
Queen of Peace for the 2007-2008 school year.
