Adult Confirmation

Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist (Holy Communion) comprise the three Christian Sacraments of Initiation. Confirmation is the sacrament that seals and strengthens in us the gifts of the Holy Spirit given to us in Baptism.

Confirmation is a part of becoming a full member of the Catholic Church. A number of liturgical roles, such as serving as a reader and extraordinary minister of the Eucharist, require Confirmation.

The Church also views Confirmation as a profound outpouring of the Holy Spirit, which helps to sustain the faithful in the Christian life, and helps each person to experience the love of God more deeply. The Church sees Confirmation as a necessary step in becoming ready for marriage in the Catholic faith.

Are you an adult Catholic who has not been confirmed?  It is not too late! MQP offers an Adult Confirmation program both in the winter and in the summer each year. Information about our summer program for 2013 will be available soon.
