Stewardship of Time & Talent

But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.  Luke 8:15

As we embrace stewardship as a way of life, we are invited to become aware and conscious of our God-given gifts and of the many ways God has blessed us. We are invited to evaluate our priorities and how well we have stewarded our time and talents this past year. We are also invited to celebrate these gifts and the good we have done with them. Finally, we are challenged to take another look and see if we are able and ready to take-a-step on our journey as faith-filled followers of Christ.

Stewardship of Treasure

Mary, Queen of Peace is committed to being a Stewardship parish. Being a Stewardship parish means we use our time and talent primarily on service within and outside the Church, rather than on fundraising.  We are called to be about the mission of the parish, in deepening peoples' faith, rather than expending large amounts of energy on fundraising for ourselves.  As such, we rely on ordinary income (Stewardship of Treasure) for our operating expenses, funding our outreach donations and capital campaign donations for capital (building) improvements. We invite you to think and pray about how God is calling you to share of your treasure.
