Faith Formation
“The definitive aim of catechesis is to put people not only in touch, but also in communion and intimacy, with Jesus Christ.” -Pope John Paul II, Catechesi Tradendae Religious Education/Formation is a continuous and life-long process of growth. We are blessed by a multitude of opportunities for adults, teens and children thanks to the time, treasure and talent that is shared by our Mary, Queen of Peace community. Please take some time to look over this resource guide and choose the programs that best serve your needs. Behind this letter you will find registration forms marked with their respective due dates. If you have gifts for teaching, leading prayer, storytelling, mentoring or walking with new adult or child Catholics, please consider sharing your talents on one of the ministry teams. As you will find in the guide, there is a wide variety of opportunities for the many gifts we each have to share. Please discern how the Lord is calling you to help out. This year we hope to open our doors to the Spirit as we explore new models for supporting the faith-life of the parish. In addition to our established offerings, we are moving toward “whole community catechesis” in which the entire parish will be invited to take part in formation activities on a given morning or afternoon. At these gatherings members of every age may continue to strengthen a relationship with Christ through praying, playing and studying with one another. Keep an eye out for these community building opportunities throughout the year. If you have any questions or concerns regarding faith formation, please do not hesitate to contact us. God Bless!
